Vintage Jakob Bengel Green and Black Galalith Rare Woven Cord Necklace 1920

Vintage/Antique Jakob Bengel 1920s Art Deco, Green and Black galalith necklace, on a woven cord. Fabulous Art Deco geometric/architectural pendant in chrome and galalith.  There are 2 chrome flat hollow panels that the woven cord passes through.  These are moveable and therefore can be placed higher up the cord if preferred.

This is the first time I’ve found a JB necklace with the woven cord necklace.  I don’t think as many were produced. The woven cord is in very good condition it isn’t worn but it does have signs of having been worn against the skin.  This could be gently soaked/washed but I haven’t attempted that.  The necklace has a screw clasp.

Information

Bengel pieces aren’t signed, sometimes they may have a mark on the clasp ring which reads – ‘Guarantee’ or  Made in Germany, but that is as much as I’ve ever seen. I believe they did have swing tags, hence they were removed and thrown away before wearing.

Size: Necklace is 43cm (17.5″) end to end.

The width of the cord is 0.6cm

The pendant drop is 6.5cms

The width is 3cms
