Jewels Past’s Journey
Welcome and thank you for visiting Jewels Past new website launched in May 2020.
I have had a lifelong love affair with jewellery. My collecting started at an early age spending my pocket money on buying silver rings. The passion never stopped and jewellery was clearly in my DNA from the outset.
Living in Hong Kong for 10 years exposed me to the glitzy side of jewellery where the collecting continued at pace. On returning to the UK in 1985, I was introduced to Antique & Vintage jewellery, and started to collect Art Deco jewellery as well as china.
I had an insatiable appetite for learning about all types of jewellery and this gave me an exceptional eye for style and quality. In 2012 my obsession brought my career as a Business Analyst to a close, Jewels Past was born and I turned to dealing full-time in jewellery both Online and at quality Antique Fairs across the country.
A lifetime of experience and knowledge has given me an ability to seek out quality yet affordable items. My stand at antique fairs is often singled out for the quality of the stock and the stunning presentation.
This has led to extraordinary opportunities such as providing jewellery for Sir Kenneth Branagh’s productions of ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ in 2017 and the soon to be released follow up ‘Death on the Nile’. Authentic items for the period were selected by the Film Producers and I am very proud to see my jewellery being worn by great actors in iconic films. Here in these pictures you will see a Schreiber & Hiller necklace, this was part of a set, there was also a matching bracelet. I wonder who is wearing this now? The history carries on……………
My mission is always to provide high quality, affordable vintage and costume jewellery so it can be enjoyed by likeminded people, adding to their style, character and personal presentation – all the things that jewellery can do!
