Jakob Bengel 1920s Brickwork Necklace – SOLD

Jakob Bengel 1920s Brickwork Necklace – SOLD

Jakob Bengel 1920s Brickwork Necklace in a lovely orange and green cold painted enamel brickwork (maerwerk).  Bengel was famous for his chain linking designs. This is a lovely beauty with the additional diamond shape pendant.   This design is well published in both of the Jakob Bengel books,  but this colour combination is more unusual.  it is often found in red and black, green and black, red, blue and I have had it in lime green.

I have recently bought a collection from a collector of Jakob Bengel and this is another one that hasn’t been worn in the past 50 years that she has had it. The condition is as if it has just come out of the factory.

Bengel pieces aren’t signed, sometimes they may have a mark on the clasp ring which reads – Guaranteed or Gesch but that is as much as I’ve ever seen. I believe they did have swing tags, hence they were removed before wearing.

Size: 16″ end to end –  The  panel is an additional 3″ long

Could be lengthened with additional chain/links.

Condition: Excellent Vintage

Age: 1920s
